The i wireless Center is a multi-use arena in situated in the state of Illinois. Its opening was in 1993, and it was called at the time The MARK of the Quad Cities. The opening ceremony was done by a performance of singer Neil Diamond. And since its opening, the venue has won several awards of architectural industry.

From 2010, the arena is home to the hockey team Quad City Mallards. The arena hosted several sports games including collegiate games as it is the case with NCAA Division 1. For instance it hosted men’s basketball tournament of the Mid-Continent Conference between 1996 and 1999. The arena held also numerous exhibition contests of NBA and NHL. The venue also host theater shows considering Broadway shows and family shows as it is a convertible arena. The arena also hosts concerts of big performers.

Until the fold up of the Continental Basketball Association in 1999, the basketball team Quad City Thunder that ceased operation now took the venue as their home. Starting from 1995, hockey games have been played in the arena including games of Quad City Mallards that played their games there for 12 years, and later Quad City Flames that played for 2 years. The Quad City Mallards still play in the venue.

The collegiate hockey team of Western Illinois University, Fighting Leathernecks, has taken the arena as their home in 2009. Despite the restriction so they can play just 4 games per season, the team is still playing there. Between 2000 and 2009, arena football games was hosted in i wireless Center including games of the Quad City Steamwheelers team that practices in af2. The naming rights of the arena were bought by i wireless in 2005, and the name changed in July, 2007.
